My name is Dan Batchelor. I am a freelance photographer and videographer living in Victoria BC, on Canada’s west coast.

I've been involved in making videos my entire life – I starred in my parent's home videos from day one. When I was 13, my parents bought their first digital point-and-shoot camera with a video function. Within a few days I was out making freestyle skiing videos with my friends, and editing them on our iMac late into the night. I have been hooked ever since! A few years later I got a DSLR photo camera for Christmas. Since then, I have been creating effective professional videos and taking photos for myself and clients. I own a very professional assortment of gear for both photography and HD videography.

I love to tell a full story while documenting events. Capturing emotions and feelings, and attention to details are what I excel at in my work. To me, it is attention to all the fine details that creates an outstanding product loved and valued by all.

I am experienced shooting on-location and in adverse weather, as I specialize in extreme sports media. I am able to shoot, edit and produce entire video projects on my own; I also work as part of a team depending on the project.
